Here's what we usually get asked
Most of what fixes a volleyball injury isn't done by hands, it's done by you, through loading the right tissue the right way over weeks. My job is to work out what's driving your pain, give you the exact exercise that loads it at the right time, and then adjust and progress as you respond. I do that over video. I watch you move, lift, jump and land. I make sure your form is perfect between sessions through the videos you send me daily. You have access to me 24/7 through WhatsApp to ask me anything.
Consults are video calls, usually 30 minutes, booked at a time that works for both of us. I work with athletes across the world. You'll get a link to pick your time.
A gym makes it easier and faster, especially for anything involving heavy loading of the knees, hips or shoulders. But I program for what you actually have. If you're in season, travelling, or training out of a hall with a few bands and dumbbells, I'll build around that. Tell me what you have access to and how many days a week you can train, and the rehab and gym program fits that, not an ideal that never happens.
I'll give you a timeline after I assess you, but I'm honest with athletes about this: I'm not aiming for the fastest return, I'm aiming for the one that lasts. The quick route usually leaves the actual problem in place, which is why so many athletes get the same injury back a few months later. We'll often have you playing sooner than you expect by managing your load instead of stopping you, but the work continues past the point where it stops hurting. That's the part that keeps it from coming back.
You message me on WhatsApp. That's included on every plan, with no cap on how much you use it. Send me a video of a lift you're not sure about and I'll tell you what to change. If your knee is sore after a tournament, message me and we'll adjust the week rather than you sitting on it until the next call. This is the part athletes tell me makes the biggest difference, because rehab goes wrong in the gaps between appointments, not during them.
No. Most volleyball injuries are diagnosed from your history and a physical assessment, and a scan often doesn't change what we do. Plenty of scans show changes in tendons and shoulders of athletes who have no pain at all, so imaging can be misleading on its own. If I think a scan would genuinely change the plan, or if something in your assessment needs a doctor's opinion, I'll say so directly and help you organise it.
Usually yes, and that's the goal. Complete rest feels safe but it de-trains you, and you come back into the same loads that hurt you with less capacity than before. So instead of stopping, we manage your dose: how many jumps, how many hitting reps, how hard, how often, and what we build in the gym alongside it. Sometimes a short period off a specific action is necessary, like heavy spiking with an angry shoulder. When that happens I'll tell you why and how long.
Two things. First, I only work with volleyball athletes, so I know what jumping, landing, blocking and hitting thousands of times a season does to knees, shoulders and ankles, and I know the difference between a middle's load and an outside's. Second, I don't treat you for twenty minutes and send you home with three exercises. You get a full gym program that progresses, unlimited access to me between sessions, and a plan that goes all the way to returning to full performance, not just to being pain-free at rest. I also play, so I know what the game actually demands.
I help volleyball athletes overcome their injuries and come back stronger than before. No BS temporary relief and symptom management. I only focus on getting long-term results through a systematic and no guessing approach.
I've already helped 1000+ volleyball athletes across the world beat their injuries so they can actually enjoy and compete in their sport and retire on their own terms.
